TOMORROW: EDWARDS TO MAKE ADDITIONAL STOPS IN CHARLESTON AFTER VISITING HOMETOWN OF SENECA

Edwards will be joined by his father, Wallace Edwards in Seneca and will stop by The Haven Restaurant and the Charleston County Democratic Women Holiday Party in Charleston

Columbia, South Carolina – On Thursday, December 6th, Senator John Edwards will return to his birthplace of Seneca, South Carolina, where he will be joined by his father, to officially open the new Oconee County Democratic Party Headquarters before addressing over 1,000 high school seniors at the Generation Next Votes 2008 forum, held at Walhalla High School. Wallace Edwards graduated from Walhalla High School in 1950. Generation Next Votes 2008 is a voter registration program which will aim to register 1,000 students from the Oconee County School District in one day. Later, Edwards will stop by The Haven restaurant in Charleston before headlining the Charleston County Democratic Women Holiday Party. To date, Senator Edwards leads all Democratic candidates in campaign stops and money raised in South Carolina. Earlier this month, Edwards became the first Democratic candidate to launch television ads in the state. The campaign has aired three South Carolina ads to date.

To highlight his plans to build a better America where every family has the opportunity to fulfill the American Dream, Edwards will highlight his five core proposals for universal health care, good jobs, excellent schools, affordable housing and strong families.
